Dr. Brian Laslie, Chief Historian at the United States Air Force Academy recently reviewed the book, and had this to say: “A blurb seems inarticulate for the gift that author and photographer John Slemp has given the historical community. The work is an absolute must-own for those with a passion for the history of the Second World War and historians of air power and American fashion. A superb cultural history of the American airman.”

This book is Big!

Sized at 12” x 12” inches (300mm x 300mm for my metric friends), it is 278 pages of history. Only the finest paper was used, which increased the weight to six pounds (2.72 kg). The hardback cover is protected by a dust jacket, which has a surprise on the inside!

Rating: 5/5 stars. Received my copy of Bomber Boys in quick time! Beautifully packed and presented for a safe trip all the way to Melbourne, Australia. Worth every penny, beautifully photographed and written. Already a standard on our main coffee table for everyone to see! Accompanies my Eastman A-2 replica jacket perfectly.
